Yes more character refs for Descendant Of The Guardian. I was going to add in a few more to this, but then I stopped and realized, if I posted to many more, I may start giving away key points to the plot and that wouldn’t be to good, as is one of these guys is close to that. So I think as fare as main characters this is as fare as I’ll go. Next on this list would be doing all the Scelus types.

One thing you’ll notice is a lot of these guys will be missing fins/tail parts. That’s a common sight as it’s easier to grip onto something that’s sticking out from a round smooth object then a…round smooth object.

ANYAY! On with these guys.

Grana is a very kind and loving, old humpback (or ‘grand singer’ as all whales are called by smaller singers) that was born into the life of a Worker, used mainly for hauling large loads around (yes she is missing half her right flipper). Tike ‘drops in’ on her while she’s being held in a small closed off bay, and keeps him from drowning while he was disoriented. Sensing the little dolphin has a grater purpose, and finding he’s heading to open waters, invites him to stay by her side in the bay for a few days while she teaches him thing’s he must know in the open waters, along with a few other tricks.

Riptide or just ‘Tide’ is a gruff, battle scared dolphin that would much rather be left alone. He was once a Charger that slipped away from his duties, and with a lot of luck, had gone unnoticed/ignored. Tike finds this dolphin after narrowly escaping (and nearly drowning) from a Scelus. Tike’s fear turns to curiosity when he learns of this singer’s abandonment of his duties, how he became a Charger, and why he now swims alone. “Tide’ ends up joining Tike on part of his quest, after hearing just what the quest was, and that Tike’s in need of something that he may be able to help with.


It’s a Shark! This is not a normal shark, but a very… very… big beast. Like Singers, the Scelus did also try to enslave sharks, but a shark’s simple mind couldn’t as easily be controlled. This half blind bad boy/girl? Is one such attempt, a mutilation of some sort that broke free. It’s been stalking an old ruin work factory that Tike unfortunately came upon, and had to use the area around him to try desperately to avoid.

So there it is, more main characters. Riptide is a nice example of the air harness that allows dolphins to spend longer time under water, working like a scuba tank. It’s other use is to allow a dolphins song to control Scelus machinery, that now has a lot of human technology mingled into it.
